As we age, muscles tend to harden, our joints lose their range of motion and we become more susceptible to chronic problems such as osteoporosis, arthritis and heart disease. Yoga can help by slowing down the effects of the aging process, by maintaining the flexibility of joints and muscles, keeping the mind alert through observation and relaxation, while reducing the effects of many age-related issues.
